AxisGO Water Housing Setup and Installation Video

Hi I’m Phil from Aquatech and welcome to
the AxisGo smartphone imaging system today ill be running through the
initial setup process and how to prepare your product for use. The AxisGo
water housing has already passed a quality control and water tests at the
factory but we suggested you do tests of your own. Hold on to your phone for now
as you don’t need it for these initial tests. Check the main re o-ring for any
dirt or debris and ensure that the o-ring path is clean and clear. Unscrew
the front lens port and ensure the o-ring and the o-ring path is clean and
clear of any dirt or debris. Secure your supplied wrist lanyard on either
dedicated attachment points. If you choose to attach to the right hand side
we suggest securing this with the side handle latch open. Secure the front lens
port by turning clockwise aligning the threads of the lens port and the AxisGo
housing correctly. Do not over tighten the port; tighten only so the gap between
the port and the body disappears. Close the backplate by wrapping it around to
the front locking mechanism and squeeze the latch down an audible click should
be heard to indicate the latch is locked. Pull back firmly on the side handle
latch to ensure it has locked correctly. Conduct a visual inspection on the
AxisGo to ensure a good seal has been created between the front and rear parts
of the water housing. A small gap between the back plate and the frame is normal.
For the initial water test today we’re using a common household bucket you need
at least 1 to 3 feet of water. With your housing securely sealed submerge and
hold the access go in the water for 20 seconds.
Remove the accents go from the water dry off and check that no water has entered
the house. If everything looks nice and dry inside repeat the same process this
time holding submerge for 30 seconds. Dry your housing off and inspect for any
water which may have entered inside. If your housing looks dry you’re ready to
install your phone. If you have any concerns or issues with these initial
water tests please contact us directly on [email protected] Before
installing your phone remove any phone cases or covers you may
have on your device including any screen protectors. Place your phone within the
rubber bumpers which are designed to secure your phone making sure to align
your home button to the opposite end of the lens port opening. Before securing
the side handle latch place one or two fingers on the rear touchscreen membrane
to increase touchscreen sensitivity in the water. Read more about this process
in the downloadable user manual found on our website. Now that your water housing
has passed the water test and your phone is securely installed it’s time to
explore your creative options but firstly let me point out some of the key
features that will help you capture those special moments. Besides being a
tough and lightweight shell the AxisGo features a hard coded polycarbonate
membrane which allows the touchscreen control and fantastic audio quality even
when wet. Simple swipe tap pinch and zoom gestures you are already familiar with
still apply and allow you to not only shoot without limitation but use your
phone as you normally would. This tactile surface allows you to use your chosen
camera app easily change shooting modes and capture the action. The touch screen
does not work underwater when operating at depth but we have a neat way to
ensure those memories are still captured. The stainless steel volume buttons act
as a useful way to not only adjust the volume but operate the camera’s shutter
or start/stop record you can push either of these to act like
a traditional shutter would on your camera with an interchangeable lens port
system pistol grip trigger and various mounting options of a full range of
accessories the AxisGo is so much more than a water housing the access
goes smartphone imaging system it is truly the best way to stay protected and
connected.
